Indian Prime Minister Mr. Narendra Modi files nomination from Varanasi for Lok Sabha election 2024

For the Lok Sabha Elections 2024, Prime Minister Narendra Modi submitted his nomination papers for the Varanasi Lok Sabha constituency on 14th May, accompanied by Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and four officially designated proposers.

This seat will go to polls in the final phase on June 1. Mr. Modi has won twice in this constituency. He is the sitting MP and BJP candidate from this constituency. He will contest against Uttar Pradesh Congress Chief Ajai Rai and Bahujan Samajwadi Party’s candidate Athar Ali Lari.

In the 2019 election, Modi clinched the seat with a whopping lead of almost 4.8 lakh votes, which was a big jump from his winning margin of 3.72 lakh votes back in 2014.

Before heading to file his papers, Modi took some time to pray at the beautiful Dashashwamedh Ghat by the Ganges in Varanasi. He also visited the Kaal Bhairav Temple.
